Inadequate signal at

sensor site.

Assess the patient.

Reposition sensor or

select an alternate

sensor site.

Inadequate pulse signal

due to excessive motion.

Reduce patient

motion. Reposition or

relocate the sensor.

Sensor failure. Replace the sensor.
